The Alliance Française de Pune, along with Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan Pune, Pune Film Foundation, and National Film Archive of India present the fourth edition of International Shorts Collective, an international short film festival for audiences in Pune.
The line-up for International Shorts Collective 2022 features short films from the Très Court International Film Festival 2022 and Short Export 2022 – Made in Germany.
Day 1 – Très Court International Film Festival
As part of the Très Court International Film Festival (3 to 12 June 2022), film screenings are held simultaneously over a period of 10 days in France and over 20 other countries including India! The ‘Très Court’ selection comprises 60 films of the très court (very short) format i.e. films of any genre (fiction, animation, documentary, music video, and video blog) which are less than 4 minutes long.
The categories of Très Court films featured at International Shorts Collective this year are ‘Women’s Words’ and ‘International Competition’.
For the ‘International Competition’, Punekars are invited to vote for their favorite films competing to win the title of the ‘Prix du Public’ (People’s Choice) at the Très Court International Film Festival. The winning title will be announced at the closing ceremony of the Très Court Festival to be held in Paris on 12 June 2022.

Day 2 – Short Export 2022 – Made in Germany
‘Short Export 2022’ is the result of a Franco-German cooperation between AG Kurzfilm – German Short Film Association, German Films, Goethe-Institut Lyon, the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and Kurzfilm Agentur Hamburg. Designed as a set programme of six shorts, the ‘Short Export’ film package is distributed by Goethe-Instituts and their partner organizations from around the world.
The ‘Short Export 2022’ selection originates from the 455 German submissions at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. Each short illustrates the aesthetic and thematic diversity of German short film making. In a touching and unconventional manner, they narrate stories about relationships, women, destruction, and society.
