(ii) There is no space for parking within the premises of Kala Chhaya Cultural Centre. All private vehicles must be parked outside.

On the occasion of International Day of Dance, celebrated every year on 29 April, Alliance Française de Pune, in association with Kala Chhaya Cultural Centre and IAPAR, presents a night of cinema under the stars!

The short films, handpicked from the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, revolving around dance, and offer various points of view: personal, dramatic, funny, nervous, and sometimes astonishing. As the art of cinema and dance combine, viewers are invited to explore diverse dance styles and their origins.

The film screening will be preceded by a dance showcase. Five young and emerging dancers from Pune, namely Radhika Rathod, Rashmi Mali, Poorvaja Kelkar Janhavii Pathak, and Myra Vinod, will perform works-in-progress featuring on contemporary and classical styles, as well as elements of theatre. This programme for International Dance Day 2022 is presented by Alliance Française de Pune, in association with IAPAR and Kala Chhaya Cultural Centre as a part of Bonjour India 2022 – an artistic, cultural, educational, and social initiative put together by the French Cooperation Network in India – including the Embassy of France in India, its cultural department the French Institute in India, the network of Alliances Françaises in India, and the Consulates of France.
