The Francophonie represents more than 220 million French-speakers on five continents!
Every year, the Francophonie Week celebrates the richness and diversity of the French language and its capacity to incorporate words from many languages. It will take place worldwide from 18th to 26th March 2017.
This year, the “Dis-moi dix mots” initiative organised by the French Ministry of Culture is highlighting ten words representing the French language adaptation to new technology: Canular, Nuage, Télésnober, Héberger, Pirate, Avatar, Favori, Emoticône, Nomade, Fureteur.
The Alliance Française Pune organised a Pune inter-school contest for the students learning French at their schools. The winners are:
