EASY DOES IT INC, GATECRASH & EASE INDIA are hosting Music Mulakatein Feat : Alexandre Herer Nunataq + The Dharavi Dream Project.This is an Indo-French contemporary jazz & hip-hop collaboration (France / India).
French pianist Alexandre Herer came for the first time in India in 2018. During this tour, he and his band made an artistic exchange in Dharavi about rhythm and improvisation, and it lasted in a kind of jam-session with young rappers and beat boxers.
From this moment, Alexandre decided to organize the same project with more time to work with young students of Dharavi, as well rappers, beatboxers, percussionists, dancers. The music of the new Alexandre Herer’s trio should be useful for experimenting rap, slam, and dance. Moreover, the rhythmic research of his music can be linked to the legendary practice of rhythm in India (Konnakol, Karnatic music). A perfect example of how Music brings together Cultures+Genre & styles.
