THE COMPOSER

Born in Mar del Plata in 1921, Astor Piazzolla, pianist & bandonéonist, in the beginning performed the popular music of his country, Argentina. Irresistibly attracted by composition, he moved to Paris to study with Nadia Boulanger who persuaded him to return to his roots and to create his own musical language. Deceased in 1992, Astor Piazzolla is now recognised and his work is performed the world over.

THE INTERPRET

Christine Chareyron (pianist)

Studied the piano at « Conservatoire National de Région de Grenoble » followed by « Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris ». She then perfected her skills with Jean Fassina. Christine Chareyron is also passionate about Dramatic Art which she studied at “L’E.N.M de Chambéry” and then at “C.N.R de Grenoble”. She is currently a Piano Professor at the Suresnes Consevatory.
