Philippe Guillien, Attaché for Cooperation in French at the French Embassy & the French Institute in India.
He began his career as a teacher of English before specializing in French as a Foreign Language at Paris III Sorbonne University.He is also an advisor for lifelong education of the French Ministry of National Education and his career has led him to alternate postings for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Director of studies and / or Cooperation Attaché for French Language in Tanzania, Sri Lanka-Lanka, Morocco, Romania, Greece, Spain and Israel, and periods in France at the Rectorate of the Academy of Poitiers.
Based in Mumbai, at the Consulate General of France, he is in charge of implementing the “Choose French” program for West India.

Le Centre de Linguistique Appliquée (CLA) est une composante de l’Université de Franche-Comté spécialisée dans l’enseignement et la didactique des langues depuis 1958. Le CLA est le centre universitaire de français langue étrangère le plus important de France avec plus de 3000 étudiants internationaux qui viennent apprendre le français chaque année à Besançon (ville natale de Victor Hugo) dans le cadre d’une mobilité d’études supérieur ou pour un séjour d’immersion linguistique et culturelle de quelques semaines. Le CLA propose également une grande variété d’activités de découvertes de la région et des pays européens à proximité (Suisse, Allemagne) ainsi qu’une multitude d’occasions de rencontres avec les habitants de la ville.

She is currently studying at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris since September 2019. she will start the second year of the master’s programme in Language Didactics (with a specialisation in French as a foreign language) this year. She was a student at Fergusson College in Pune for three years and while pursuing her Bachelor’s degree, she studied French at the Alliance Française de Pune. After her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2016, she came to France as an English language assistant for 7 months where she realised that she really liked the teaching experience and the work that went on behind the scenes. Soon after, she came back to Pune, applied to become a teacher and so became an intern at the Alliance Française de Pune in 2017. Two years later, after gaining a wonderful practical experience and learning to teach from her teachers, she decided to come to Paris and pursue a Master’s degree in Didactique des langues’.
Babusha Verma, French Language Teacher, St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi
Babusha Verma teaches French language, literature & translation courses at University of Delhi for 11+ years. A gold medalist for Masters in French from University of Delhi, she has studied, worked & travelled in Canada, Mauritius and many European and Asian countries.
