Francesco Zambonin is a prospective PhD student at Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and Ecole Normale Supérieure. Three years ago he moved from Italy to France to pursue his graduate studies in History. After graduating last year, he embarked on a long journey that brought him to Berlin, New York, Athens, and now Pune where he is interning at IISER.
Join us for a chat with Francesco on the makings of ‘Archipel‘, a diary he maintained during his travels across the world. He calls it an ‘atypical guide‘, a means of documenting the similarities between different and distant places. The book is based on a personal journey but aims at encouraging others to seek adventure, whether abroad or just around the corner.
The talk will end with a session of sketching and painting where you will be invited to illustrate the hidden gems you have come across in Pune or abroad!
