This June, on the occasion of the 40th death anniversary of the Jacques Prévert, the Alliance Française de Pune in association with the Institut Français and in collaboration with Lost the Plot presents  “JACQUES PRÉVERT: SHOWCASING THE ARTISTIC GENIUS” in order to commemorate this author, poet, scriptwriter and lyricist, with a three-week-long event that will bring to the public the masterpieces of Prévert’s genius mind at work.  Come discover Prevert through this gem of world cinema – a dual award-winning film and Osar-nominated (for original screenplay) Children of Paradise that takes place in two epochs, Boulevard du Crime (“Boulevard of Crime”) in 1827 and L’Homme Blanc (“The Man in White”) that takes place seven years later. 

 “The Man in White”, as a sequel to the “Boulevard of Crime”, takes place 7 years later, in which,  Baptiste has become as famous as a star of the Grand Theater. Garance has married the Comte de Montray and is back in Paris. Both, Garance and Baptiste have found themselves in loveless relationships. Garance finds herself attending the Funambules incognito every night to watch Baptiste perform. The dramatic tale of love, jealousy and vengeance continues…
